Describe your business: Event Planning & Decorating
What drives you to do what you do? What motivates you? I believe the ability to help people create a vision and bring it to life is what drives me to succeed! I absolutely love what I do every single day so I feel like I never work a day in my life.
What has surprised you most when owning your own business? The creative freedom that comes from the industry!
What was it like when you first started? Making the decision to break away from the corporate world and start my own business was definitely challenging and demanding at the beginning! 5 years later I wouldn’t have it any other way! This business has been nothing short of rewarding and inspiring.
What is something people don’t know about your business? We are able to custom design and order in custom products for specific occasions! We work closely with many suppliers to create the perfect product for your event that others may not have access to!
What would your customers say they love most about doing business with you? We are easy-going, accommodating, and with a deep love for all things design, we are really able to understand a vision and make it come to life just like how you pictured it!
What are some odd requests you’ve had from clients? We have had a few odd requests for weddings and events such as hanging glass from the ceiling, a complete ceiling of flowers, or skydiving into a wedding!
How do you motivate and encourage each other? Yourself? We are all constantly innovating with new ideas and keeping up to date with trends in the industry.We offer big rewards for big projects!
Where do you see your business in the next years? We would love to have a storefront space and are consistently working towards that goal!
What are your greatest challenges? It has been a challenge expanding and growing during a pandemic when our industry was the first to shut down and last to open.
What is something most people don’t know about you? I absolutely love to travel and try to take the opportunity to any chance I get, even if that means throwing in a work project while there!
What do you love most about your town/city? I adore the strong local support, friendliness, and community support everyone has for each other!
Why do you think it is important for people to support local? Supporting local drives business along with other local businesses supporting mine in return.
What are your favorite restaurants? OEB, Capitol Music Club, Picaro
What are your favorite things to do locally? I fill my time by attending events, networking, supporting other local businesses, creating events for businesses interested in fundraisers or ways of connecting with the community!
